A. (Tim) Groover, P.E.
President and COO of Wiley|Wilson, has been elected to the Board of
Directors of the non-profit Employee Assistance of Central Virginia,
Inc. (EACV). EACV
provides employee assistance services and organizational development
consulting dedicated to strengthening people and organizations.

Wiley|Wilson
has also hired Mark R. Metzger, E.I.T. who joins the firm’s
Civil Engineering Department as a Resident Project Representative.
Mark focuses on the construction administration and inspection of
combined sewer overflow (CSO) separation projects. He received
a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Old Dominion
University and is a Registered Engineer-in-Training in Virginia.

Architects & Engineers announces the following new
employees:
James Cooper, RCDD,
has joined the Electrical Department in our Richmond Office as a Sr.
Electrical Engineer. Mr. Cooper was formerly with CH2M Hill.
Andrew Fleenor, EIT,
has joined the Electrical Department in our Richmond Office as an
Electrical Engineer. Mr. Fleenor is a former H&A intern
and recently graduated from Virginia Military Institute.
Kevin Pierce has joined the Mechanical Department in our Hampton
Roads Office as a Mechanical Designer. Mr. Pierce was formerly
with Bowman, Foster and Associates P.C.

expose middle school students to Engineering
with
ODU's Summer Camp

The Batten
College of Engineering at Old Dominion University is putting on
three, FUN, engineering camps this summer.
Full of engineering activities (no lectures), college lunches
at the Webb Center, physical activities at lunch time,
etc.
There is a one day camp for 7-10 year olds, with simple projects on July
9 and July 30.
For the middle-schoolers(10- 15), the camp is designed to introduce
kids to what engineering really is...each day focuses on a different
type of engineering. Monday is Mechanical/Aerospace Day,
Tuesday is Civil Day, Wednesday is Marine and Thursday is
Electrical. Friday is a summary and contest day. Camp dates
are:
July 12 - July 16 and August 2 - August 6.
