About the Virginia Society of Professional EngineersThe Virginia Society of Professional Engineers (VSPE) is a state level organization of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE). It serves the needs of over 1,100 Professional Engineers from across Virginia who are in private practice, government, construction, industry, and education.
Recognizing that service to the public, to the state, and to the profession is a fundamental obligation of the professional engineer, VSPE dedicates itself to the promotion and improvement of the profession of engineering as a social and economic influence vital to the welfare of the community, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the United States of America.
NSPE/VSPE promotes engineering licensure and ethics, advocates and protects PEs' legal rights at the national and state levels, and provides continuing education opportunities.
